The People Behind The Jar
Organic Uncle began in Surat with one frustration: almost everything sold as dried fruit in India has been through heat, sugar syrup, or both.
What We Actually Do
Three things worth knowing before you buy from us.

Sourcing, Not Manufacturing
We are a sourcing and export house, and we do not pretend otherwise. Our work is finding producers who do one thing properly, checking what comes off their line, and putting our name on it only when it is good enough.
Freeze-drying happens at facilities equipped for it. Vacuum chambers are expensive, specialised machinery and very few operations in India run them well. Knowing which ones do is the job.

No Heat. No Syrup. No Shortcuts.
Every other way of preserving fruit involves a compromise you can taste. Hot air darkens it and makes it chewy. Sun drying leaves it leathery and exposed. Sugar infusion masks the fruit entirely.
Freeze-drying takes a different route: the fruit is frozen solid, then held under vacuum so the ice turns straight to vapour. Nothing boils. Nothing browns. It is the slowest and most expensive method, and that is exactly why it works.

Honest Labels Over Marketing
We hold an FSSAI Central Licence and an Importer-Exporter Code. We do not hold organic certification, so you will not find the words certified organic, lab tested or APEDA registered anywhere on this site, however much they might help us sell.
What we will claim is what we can stand behind: no added sugar, no preservatives, no added colour, and in most jars a single ingredient.

Most people begin with the freeze-dried mango. It is the one they come back for.
